Can a pad trigger another pad?!

I know the answer probably is no...

But is there ANY way to get two or more pads to play by hitting just one pad?

just assign that sound on the otherpad to the samepad but on a diffrent layer, or you could always use two fingers, or overdub if you feel more cofortable with only one finger.

there isnt a way to do it. there is a workaround, maybe 2

one way is to record the track using one pad. then copy the track and change the note data in step edit to the second pad you want to trigger. when you play it back you'll hear the original pad playing from the first track, and the second pad from the copied track. but you asked about playing that way, so it's not the same thing.

another way is, and im not sure if it would work, is to assign both pads to the same midi note and play them from a midi controller (like a keyboard or whatever)


the 2000xl can do what youre asking, but the downside is that you can only assign one sample to a pad.

U can assign 2 extra pads to your original pad via MUTLI on the 2kxl.

As for the 1k, don't know.

right, that's what im saying. with the SIMUL thing

but there is still only one sample per pad. it's not like the 1000 where you can have 3 bass drums and a detuned conga on one pad, with them all sharing the same pad info.

it's the same thing though really. the 1000's method uses less pads and is less flexible. the old method uses more pads but is more flexible. same sh!t

you can edit the pad in 'program' mode and have one pad play a different sample by adjusting the 'velocity' for that pad, you can specify which sample to play at what velocity, if that's what you're talking about... refer to the manual for instructions...

This method doesn't work. Just thought I'd let you know, if anyone else was wondering...
