Protools m-powered... going to pull my hair out!!!

Ok I figured it out... Inder the MIDI settings... make sure that when you choose your MIDI interface that you choose the real one and not the "emulated" one.

1st you have to set-up the MPC as the master (since your using the MPC for sequencing). Then sync the two together using either MMC or MTC I'm not sure which the 1000 supports. After this you should be able to press play on PT without it doing anything until play is pressed on the MPC (the master). Once everthing is in sync PT should record everthing in time with your MPC.
