It was a close call for me. I got the good news right in time and stopped the sale.

i sold a beat in exchange for a mpc 2000 xl.
and i'm selling the 1k on ebay for $800
the reason i'm keeping the xl is because i've been having problems with
the buttons and pads, they're slowly messing up. the f6 button
(the do it button) i have to press hard. but other than that is tip top. yet i dont want to risk it getting worse...
after receiving the mpc xl today, i concluded that keeping the xl, plus 800 beans in the pocket, aint a bad idea. i love the 1000 and portability, unfortunately the 1k's built is weak, we all know the xl is more rugged build.
i felt like letting yall know how i felt, i've been in this forum for a minute and i hope i've made a good decision...

**** is everyone gorilla's in here? i've broken one button from pressin it way too hard (the after button on Q2 slider), and nothing else, i use it for about 2 hours a day, for the past year, the surface of the pads has worn down slightly, its shiny from being used often. do you guys play punch-the-mpc with your 1ks or something?

Whats funny is, I got the 1k, was a little underwhelmed by the feature set, so I copped a used 4k off ebay, which I feel is not as intuitive as it could have been.
Then I see the 2500, see its feature set and that its compatible with 1k programs, and I was sold and ready to sell the 4k. I still may sell the 4k and get it.
Funny thing is, I've never considered selling the 1k....not even once.
