using a sustain pedal

Hi to all

1k newbie here, getting to grips with the blue baby but a bit lost on this question:

I want to set up some drum samples so they play very short normally from an externl keyboard but then play to their full length when I hit a sustain pedal. I presume I make these setting at the program level (rather than sample level) but I don't know how to do it. Is it the envelope I need to adjust

could some clever person please point me in the right direction?

Which keyboard? Sounds like realtime control of the volume envelope. Thew 1k is limited in this area and would be better explored in the kb's midi controller menu.

i don't think mpc 1000 samples respond to the sustain pedal CC message.
could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

your best option for getting a sustain on your samples is to use the qLink slider set to decay.
