I'm a newb so not sure of this. How is it distributed? Will it be available online, and how is the actual upgrade process done?

My reason for asking is if I buy a second hand MPC 1000 will I still be able to get hold of the new OS?

Thanks in advance.

Download and install via CF card or (I guess) USB. Will probably take you less than 3 minutes to do, including downloading. So yes, get that s/h 1000!

and boot it up into your MPC

but you need an authorized akai representative to give you a serial pad sequence to be able to install it right, otherwise it's just a demo version.

luckily i know that the code is "NYM KICKS @SS"
