i see alot of people posting with general midi questions on syncing the 1k to your software and theres alot of post about the same thing so here is a list of things that need to be done/checked for ur sync to work.
1. make sure all devices you are using are active and windows/mac can see them
2.in the software you use get to your sync settings and make sure u have setup the options to send/recive to the proper midi device then activate transmit mtc, start, stop ect,
3. on the 1k make use u have set the midi/sync options correctly (in a/b out a/b) and if you are not chaning a device to the mpc like a midi keyboard make sure to turn soft thru off( will cause feedback loop) and on the track you are using set the midi channel to the corrsponding channel on you DAW
4.test this by activating record on the track on your DAW and hit the record button and the mpc's tempo shout not have a time is say something else forgot atm (im at work )but i think its midi not sure it just shpouldnt say and numbers
5. hit the keys that have a assigned sound and u should se your midi notes being recordedinto your DAW
6. WALLAH you have sync DAW(master) 1k (slave)
p.s i have one problem if any1 know the anwser to this , when i record the note are doubled (like the local controll is on as if it were a keyboard) so i get a nasty doubled sound only when recording not play back ..
