heya!

yeah - this thursday I'll be rockin the mpc1k and the monomachine, and I'll have a bunch of Machinedrum samples loaded up in the MPC as well.

I'm seriously thinking of doing some MPC libraries, as I'm recording for several sample libraries right now, so I may try my hand at releasing some Machinedrum MPC libs once I get going at it.

Hey Michael,

osxa is infiltrating this place. How about some MachineDrum sounds run through Metasonix/MF control like your 101 vid?

I'm supposed to be creating a sample library from my modular but haven't had a chance to even turn it on in the last month. I need to quit my job.

I've got a lot on my plate for the next few months sampling wise - mostly around Kontakt 2 and a bunch of analog mayhem....

But I really want to do sample packs for internet release, free and paid, so as soon as I get them going I'll be sure to spam around all over ;)

And yeah - this place is a mini-haven for OSXA'rs - there's a vagabond group of us floating around between there, here, and the elektron-users forum!

Synergy man, synergy...

not as fruitful as I'd of liked, but I did get a larger memory card, and I'm now in the process of moving all my drumkits and some other bits over to the mpc, now it's time to start programming this and the monomachine together and see if it'll work by thursday!

If not, the laptop may have one last battle before retirement

Well, I got the 40 GB HD on ebay for $56, and the adapter kit was shipped yesterday. In the mean time I've been batch converting tons of samples getting ready. I mean- a 1G CF card is like$80+ and a 40 GB HD is almost half that - WTF?

But the idea of having Gigs of samples on a built-in HD on the MPC is great!

me neither, what exactly did you take such offence to?

it seems to be only you who made that equation, nobody else has and i certainly dont.

well like i said, i just agree with penfold in his observation that someone was prob creating new accounts and asking stupid questions recently. i did clearly state that i thought your post was an exception to this, but if you need to start name calling b'cos of it still then good luck to you. dont catch feelings off what someone you dont know doesnt say to you off the internet...its just weird.

Me neither. I found out the hard way that the mpc OS, takes time to iron out the nuiances afforded by it. I brought with me the "Master Drummers, vol.2/Bernard Purdie" album, which I was using to make some short 2 measure samples (to then further chop). I'm so accostumed to just dumping a file into live to take care of any minor timing problems (like the first measure being fractioinally slower than the second measure). It became pretty frustrating to get things to really sync, I lot of extra work. I wish there was a way to add extra samples of null audio to the end of a file. I was planning to get at least a track/sketch a day done. I eneded up spending almost all my time getting intune with the mpc OS (which i thought after three weeks I really knew). wow extreme hijacking, one conversation accross two forums

Michael, do you know what time your going on on Thursday, I'd like to check it out, but its also my sisters 30th birthday/drinking extravagana, that I can't miss.

heya,

I'm not even trying to work with loops - just one shots and drumkits for me for now... I know the power is there but my main utility for this guy is doing sampled stuff that live was actually a bit of an overkill for my needs.

I should be going on later - around 12-1 I think. I'm the last performer (or headliner, depending on my ego....)

btw - I see you're in the LIC - we're probably neighbors! Astoria here.

My dotcom portable cab is shipping this week, so you'll be seeing me over on the soundarc forums soon I imagine :D
