Ok, this is my one newbie question, which I searched for and couldn't think of the proper way to define it....

I'm using an Elektron Monomachine alongside an MPC1000, and was wondering if, instead of setting up sequences on both, if I could use the 6 track midi sequencer on the Monomachine to control multiple tracks simultaneously on the MPC.

Basically, the Monomachine has 6 internal synthesizer tracks, and 6 midi tracks, per sequence. I want to tie together 6 tracks of midi going out to the MPC along with the internal programs.

Does that make sense?

I know it can be done in reverse, and right now I'm setting everything up to just be separate sequences on each that I'll be triggering independantly, but I'm scratchin my head wondering if I can use the MPC that way.

Oh, and hey everyone, I'm new here :D

I don't think the MPC1k is multi-timbral.

EDIT: I mean when in slave mode, it isn't multi-timbral.

you can trigger multiple midi channels FROM the mpc1k's sequencer, but unfortunately 100% certain that the MPC1k cannot have multiple channels triggered. you can however set what channel it will recieve, but it's only active on the track you have selected on your screen at the time.
