Besides recording it's own input, how can I transfer audio projects from the 100 to CD? Do I need a mulitracking hardware/ softare that I can record live straight into specific channels, or do I need something that is able to translate the porojects/ programs etc. into a certain format in order to track, record, master, etc.? I just wanto to be able to make a beat on my 1000 and transfer it to CD.

P.S I'm on a tight budget.

All serious feedback is greatly appreciated!

Besides recording it's own input

hey if you're on a cheap budget, why avoid this method?
just curious, cuz it really seems like the cheapest way.

Do you have a computer already?

The cheapest way to do it and still have some mixing/''mastering'' control would maybe be a decent 2-channel audio interface, together with some free software, then track out one-at-a-time from the mpc, align the tracks in the audio sequencer, then mix etc.

The 'resample song internally' method is fine too for demos/whatever but its true you can get a little more precise with mixing and f/x if you do that stage on the computer.

Thanks for the feed. To be more specific, I would like to be able to track because during the rcord, if I decide to take out a snare here or a kick there I'd be able to so. Using song mode then recording the input doesn't allow me to do this unless I have a sequence made and lined up in song mode. Hopefully this makes sense? I just want record with the advantage of recording on the fly and being able to drop in and out with melodies, drums, etc.

Well here is what I do... I make my beats on the mpc. Then I record them into my computer and make loops with different things, the kick drums off, or double snares or whatever. Then I used Acid to tie the loops together and make up the song. I know we all have our own techniques, but maybe this might give you an idea.
