I'm going to buy an MPC1000 next month and am starting to get my sample library in order so I can drag it over to the MPC's CF Card via USB. Does the MPC recognize layers of folders (like you save your samples on a computer) or is it better to just make one folder with all of the samples and drag that over?

yep, it recognises layers of folders. just drag across from your pc over the usb. but remember that the usb transfer is not very fast. so if you drag and drop all your samples at once, you could be sitting and waiting fir the samples to transfer for a lil while. which might be irratating when you have a new mpc to play with.

Cool...that is what I figured. I had the MPC2000 with the floppy drive about 5 years ago...so I never go past using a floppy or two for sounds. The CF Card method is dope. I will drag a shit load over...and eat dinner, take a shower, get busy...while waiting.
