GAWD DAMN IT

my shift button busted cuz i had to keep pressing down ultra hard on it..eventualy it snapped... i know i shouldnt have been pressing that hard but i had to.. do u know why? because the actual metal switch that reads when its pushed down stopped working properly... so now i took everything apart, removed the busted plastic shift button, put it back together and now i can barely use my mpc till i get that fixed.. if i decide i need to use it, i use a pair of tweezers with tape on the end, stick it in the hole and press down on the switch myself. im fed up of this and by the way, even with the tweezers the funking button doesnt read it when i press down on it. how the hell do i fix this, is all i can do is get a new white plastic shift button? or can i get the actual switch replaced? common, uncommon? god damn it.

I stated in the archives that pressing harder is a symptom of the switch going bad.

i had the up key **** up, exact same button design.
i resoldered it, didn't fix anything.
so i kept pressing it in and out for like a minute quickly, and it now works (:
