Effect Set

Does anyone fully understand this concept? If I am correct it's like having 20 effect sends. If you go to mode/effect/FX1 you see that you have a total of 20 effect sets. In effect set #1 you can have EQ, effect set #2 reverb, effect set #3 phase shifter, set#4 bit grunger & so on. Say you put your Kick on Trk 1, Snare on trk 2, Hats on 3, loop on trk 4 & bassline on track 5. When I go back to the main page & I'm looking at track 4 & I want to add the phase shifter effect to it I hit mode/step edit & go over to "view" & turn the dial until you see the word "effect". Just click insert/effect? and it automatically defaults to effect set 1. You can change the number to which effect you want to go (in this case #3). The manual only has 1 paragraph explaining effect sets, but it's vague. Has anyone else experimented with this or fully understand the concept?
