Note off on MPC 1000

I've had a 1000 for a few months and I'm trying to do something that's on the 2k which is called note off. When you take your finger off the pad it stops playing the sample. A friend told me you can do it on the 1k but I can't figure out how. I looked in the manual and didn't see anything about it. Does anyone know if this feature is available in the 1k or not? If it is how do I turn it on?

If you turn it to note off and have loop on it will automatically go back to note on

go to menu-program,hit pad u want to do this too--then go to the sample field-move over to the name of sample hit window key...
