In my opinion I think a nice direct-drive turntable would be a better buy then a belt-drive turntable! Yup just for samplin. Just to name a few the Staton str8-80X, Numark TT200 all under $200. U don't have to go overboard with the da tables and buy the Numark TTX1 or the Technics SL-1210MK5's! They are expensive more for DJ's. Just a nice simple direct-drive table with a nice cartridge for samplin unless your a DJ as well!

Yep, 1/4" to RCA is what you need.

Joebonix-

Get on some of the sites like zzsounds, musiciansfreind, guitarcenter, etc. and just start searching through them.

I'm sure it's like anything where you get what you pay for, but on some of those sites you can search by "most popular" which is what I think you're looking for by asking these guys what they use. Once you've narrowed a seach using most popular, just find something in your price range.

Seems like you might also be able to use the Digital-In on the MPC if you can get your CD sounds as Digital-Out.

Best of Luck brotha!

PS- Post some beats you're workin' on!

I use tech 1200 mk2's. They cost more than what you will need it for.
I took my little bother to GC this past week and he coped 2 numarks for like $80.00 each!
Try GC this week, they are having a big sale. just remember what LabWerks said... direct drive.
good luck!
