OK.I ve been producing hip-hop for 5ive years.I currently use fruity loops 3.56,oxygen 8 controller,vinyl player for samples,beringher b2 condensor mic,mx 802a mixer
and a protools m-box to record songs.I know how to transfer my fruity beats onto protools with every sound on there own track it's kinda a **** cause a 5 minute beat is 1,1 gigs plus the vocals i gotta record later thats even more space a song could be 2 gigs.To be honest my production is clean soundin but i dont get that real sound i want.So this where i need help I plan on gettin a MPC 1000 but should i not take this step and stay with what i got or go with the mpc and start fresh with all my beat making knowledge that i know.I f i do get a mpc 1000 i want a midi box so i can transfer my beats through protools via midi i could also hook up my oxygen 8 to the mpc and to finish this setup i want a g4 ibook just for my mpc and mbox i mean this setup is compact and i can travel and take this shit whever i go what more could u ask for.And all that reverse, timestretch, and little things the mpc 1000 doesnt have can easily be done on a audio editer on a comp then transfer to the mpc with usb.So people tell what i should do.
