pads in Sample Edit Mode

my Newest edition to my sampler family is the 1000 and i need some help.

In the sample edit screen, when i truncate my samples the pads dont play the whole sample without holding the pad... can i change this? one pad plays the sample looped if held, one plays B4 the truncate point, one plays from the truncate point and so on, but none of them seem to play the whole sample unless i hold the pad..... on my 2000 the whole sample plays when the pad is hit.

BTW, i am starting with the new operating system (2.1) and have never worked on the 1000 with the previous OS so i might not understand previous OS Lingo......

pad 16 should do it!

Pad 16 plays the whole sample but you still have to hold the pad, im looking for a way to let the sample play without having to hold the pad for 20 seconds to hear the whole sample. thanks tho.

when you're trimming the sample you have to hold the pad(s) to hear the the trimmed part (while in trim mode)

I just find it odd that AKAI wouldn't give you the option. i've been workin on my 2000 since it came out in 97 and i've never had to hold the pad. its kinda annoying, especially when the sample is like 30-40 seconds long

in that case, i suggest cutting it into 2 pieces.

or going to end point and hit playfrom when trimming the end...
