Note Repeat Problem

Whenever I use note repeat in record or overdub mode the MPC records multiple instances of pad A12, at whatever rate the note repeat is set to, whether you're pressing it or not. I thought it might be a hardware problem (i.e. leaning on note repeat button triggers the nearby pad) but it doesn't seem to happen when note repeat is set to nothing. Very annoying as you get phantom A12s whenever you use it.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
