aight read the manauls of both.. got the config off on the micron..
i have a micron midi out to midi in (1) on the mpc
then i have mpc midi out (b) to micron midi in.
all i'm tryin to do is record some bass lines to my beat..
i'm record the bass lines on track 5 of my sequence...drums on 1 snares on 2 sample on 3 and hi hat on 4....
i play back my sequence n its al there.... but SOON as i turn off the micron i lose my bass lines..
i know midi sends data NOT audio.. but i hav it hooked up per the mpc manual, it says to record sounds from a midi keyboard using the mpc as a sequencer section, i believe pg 49.. i'm at the public library so i ain't hav my manual here right now...
i jus want to be able to record the ish n have it on the mpc w/o havin to always have the micron on?
cuz i evne tried to resample it into the mpc everythign came thru minus my bass lines.. so i can't even record it as a wav to xfrd to computer..
2. also the midi stuff only seems to work if i put it on channel 1b.... is that right?
3. when i go to mode>program and i start playin keys on the micron i see the pads change to correspond wit the micron keys, is there a method to that madness? ex. 2 DEEP bass lines might be in bank b and another 3 are in bank D, it would be nice if all the deep ones are in one bank and the higher ones in another bank? is that possible?
thanks yall...
help me clear this out...
keep it gully
