i guess the do seem a little bit tighter. But mine are starting to break in a lil. im starting to like the feel of the 1000's pads a little bit better.

Thought I should add another bit people might not know:
The 1000's pads are more responsive to velocity than the 2000 (you can actually hit 127s manually!!!) and are actualy sensitivity-adjustable!
