dont want to have to start one of those os2 bug threads but................

Ok pre os2 this worked fine. Tap Stop 3 times and a MIDI "note off" was sent out - handy to kill of those off those latched arppegios on your pesky synths.

Now in os2 tapping stop 3 time sends out a MIDI control program change and sets my mikroLORG and my old yamahas to Program 1.

not fun if you've been tweakin a sound only to have the synth get set to program 1 and you cant go back and save that patch. Anybody else seen this??

Page ****' three man:

22.[Stop] key:

This key Stops the play back/recording of a sequence. If you hit this key 3 times quikly, you can stop all sounds playing back.

its such a pain in the ass, was freakin out thought i had som duff midi info in a track, but it does it from scratch

this was the case with os 1.7 also. pressing stop 3 times to stop all sounds from playback/recording of a sequence.

sorry i was enlightening Rough n' Ready on what the manual says.

If you hit stop three times now it sends out a midi program change and all your synths change to program 1, its not funny after spending an hour gettin a synth program just right to have the synth change program and loose all your changes ( ok i could save more often but it NEVER did this before)

as i arranging tracks i often tap3x to shut off synths which are latched in arpeggios, but now this resets all my synths to program 1.

It would mess up a live performance too.

oh dam, my fault. i didn't know it does all of that now. i don't use program changes at all. i use reason for all of my sounds. so when i hit stop 3 times, it stops everything, even reason sounds.

i'm getting into whole reason as a sound module thing, thanks for the vid on that btw.

OK ive just tried this with reason and it doesn't do the same thing, although in reason i dont think the synths responed to program changes since they load up patches from the reason soundbank.

Its quite anoying as tap3x on stop is a gut reaction when things get out of control!

to use reason with the mpc as a sound mod is sick. if you have 2 midi interfaces you can have that much more with reason.

Dude, I know...I am asking the same question as you. I too do not like the automatic reset thing it does now. Killing the sounds, yes. Sending program change shiit, no bueno.

Yes, it definitely happens to me too.

Yes, it is definitely a pain in the A**, why would I want all my modules to jump back to Program 1-1 or whatever, there's no reason for that.

Pls Akai, remove this from next version.
