2 Questions from non-user

It's been a while since I posted here last (before selling my 2000XL). I have two questions re new 1k v2 software:

1) Q-link Real time events:
Does this work as stated in the manual (i.e. hit and hold pad, and sweep filter/pitch in realtime)?

2) the release notes document states that there are "added LFOs"
How many are there? The comparison chart only refers to v1 software and states "none".

Could someone please shed some light?

the answer to your first question is yes
and for the answer to your second question, you can look in my signature regarding 2.1 videos/pics. i have pics of the LFO screens.

thanks for the reply - this is very good news - I am wondering why anybody would buy a 2500 then.

Different/better build quality, more physical controls (and possibly outputs) and likely future OS updates that will put the 2500 ahead of the 1000 in terms of features again. the 2500 still has fully featured slicing (the 1000 won't slice by detecting each attack in the sample) and a grid sequencer that the 1000 doesn't have.
