How to slice a loop with the MPC1k ?

Hi folks,

I want to know if it's possible to slice a loop by a function inside the MPC1k (like recycle)

Like the MPC4K ? (I solded mine 2 months ago - bad machine that was never updated to reach what akai specified on the first time)...

Or if it's not... as a tip or if u can try this 4 me :

1) Open Recycle.
2) Slice one loop.
3) Click on the file tab and select Export
4) Select save as type - akai.akp program file (The field is under the one called file name)
5)Try to drag and drop tha loop.akp inside the MPC1K librairy editor

On the 1000 there is a feature called "extract" in trim mode that allows you to extract any selected portion of a sample and save it as another file. Not sure if this is what your looking for though.

To get there you have to press mode key then pad 6 (trim) then hit function key for edit. Use the jog wheel to find extract, and you can extract the highlighted portion of the sample.
