Hi all,
I have just attempted to record samples into my mpc using roland FS-1 footpedals assigned to F6 button to trigger record in record mode. There is some latency but that isn't my biggest issue. It seems that i can trigger the recording to start but not stop with the pedal. By the way I have two of these footpedals to work with. Can anyone shine some light on this?

Ps. Is the Roland FS-1 pedal a good pedal to use with my mpc?

Is anyboby using the footpedal option on your MPC1000? If so what pedal are you having success with and what are you doing with it?

I don't know about that pedal specifically, but I've used foot pedals to start and stop recording. Make sure that when you set the function of the pedal, you pick the option that will have it start AND stop rec. (or more likely, overdub)

What i'm trying to achieve isn't overdubbing on a sequence. I'm trying to use the pedal/s for sampling so i can do it hands free, like when i'm trying to record a scratched sample off of my turntables or a guitar riff off of my electric guitar.

Sounds cool, I'd like to know if you can do this also, would be great to start and stop sampling from a foot switch...
