i always did it in fruity loops (lol yeh i stepped my game up)
have a note/sample play until u hit the pad again instead of it overlapping the sound...just so i dont have to waste memory with chopping everything

naw cuz when u hold down the pad it stops the second after u let off it and theres a slight gap in the play cuz i wanna have it loop at certain parts

ex

BOOM BAP=1 BABOOM BAP=2 BOOM BAP=3 BABOOM BABOOM BAP=4
whole loop^

i wanna be able to hit the pad once and it plays
BOOM BAP=1 BABOOM BAP=2

i hit the pad again before the third drum hit and it repeats the:
BOOM BAP=1 BABOOM BAP=2

how bout use oneshot mode plus turn on 'mono' for that pad?

now why can't anyone write a sequencer that instead of having little squares and oblongs down on the grid, has booms and baps? lol
