Hey Sparq, I have followed everything that whatwhat said in the posting along with your video...but i still cannot seem use reason as a sound mod. I have an Evolution MK-249 midi keyboard. When i have the USB connected to my computer from the USB on my keyboard...i can trigger sounds fine...but when i try to trigger the sounds to play from my MPC...i cannot get any sound. When i press a key on the keyboard...the midi in LED flashes on the UNO. I have my keyboard midi out plugged into the midi in 2 port in the back of the MPC. I have a game port on my sound card with a midi cable...do i need that as well. I am lost...can you help please?

i never used that so i cant comment on it,
but i would seriously get the m-audio fw 410, its firewire which is better than usb interfaces and you can get it for 250.

I am working on a tutorial video right now of using MPC / REASON / PROTOOLS together if anybody is interested. I will go though the whole process from connecting the cables to recording individual tracks. I will be posting this soon if anybody cares.

Hi sparq,
I watched your video...excellent job...you need to have someone video record you while you do it and sell that shit! Id buy!
Anyways...im very new to this whole mpc1000...im not new to makin music...i have been using reason and a pro tools for a bit now.... My MIDI chops suck though....lol....never knew that until now.
ANYWAYS....im starvon by the way!
So...i did what the mpc manual said i hooked the midi out B to the midi in of my usb midiman 1x1....followed your video and did what you said to do in reason and mpc.
I am not getting a midi response in reason when i hit the mpc pads....although....when i use my motif reason is recieving the midi messages when i press a key. Im more interested in using the redrum in reason as a sound module....and doing the sequencing in mpc and having the mpc feel trigger those sounds.
As I said im new to mpc1000 and am trying to figure out the best way to make pro tools, motif, reason , and mpc be friends. Still unsure of the best way to use the best qualities of each together.
