How do I turn on note-off?

How do I turn on the thing that makes the sample stop playing when I release the pad (is it called note-off)? 'Cause I made a bass program for MPC1000 where I layered accoustic bass and sub bass (sinus bass) (I'll up the program later if anybody wants me to), and bass programs sounds kind of messy if you don't have note-off activated...

Hit mode > program
then scroll across until the sample/pad u wish to change is highlighted, then press window key. The just scroll right with thewheel and gives u 2 options, note off or one shot

man thanks for that info....i was wondering the same thing because i was having the same problems with some samples i loaded up....
