I downloaded some kits from the akai website onto my pc which include the legendary TR808.
They sound great on my pc as wav files but when i loaded them onto my mpc1000 the low kick distorts and sounds like it's phasing. All the other samples are fine except for the low kick.
Incidently the kick distorts when i load it into ableton live but not in adobe audition.
Do I need to tweak the sample? Maybe reduce velocity or something?
I'd be grateful if anyone could help

could be too loud and distorting, try turning the funny sounding pads down in the mpc mixer screen.

hope this helps.

Those 909 samples are tight. I found those samples there a while back and forgot all about this site until recently, as I was looking for some documents.

BTW, for those who don't know... if you go to the main Roland directory, you'll find samples on just about every link (with the exception of the MicroComposer [MC-4, MC-8]).
