i got tascam fw 1804 interface freshout the box as of 15 minutes ago lookin for a usb interface for trade

just buy a fire wire card for like 30 bucks man

yeah, screw USB audio interfaces, nothing but headaches.

a PCI firewire card is like $30, like Antonym says, or if you're on a laptop you can get a PCMCIA firewire card for like $40.

MAKE SURE you go to the manufacturer's website and check out what firewire chipset they recommend... for the Tascam, pretty much any chipset should *work*, but you'll have a lot less hassles if you get the one they say is best. It's probably a Texas Instruments chipset, that's what MOTU recommends at least.

Seriously, **** USB audio interfaces.

Like said, keep it and get a firewire card, they're so cheap it's not worth the hassle of getting rid of your interface

i just picked up a brand new Delta 1010 for under £200

i love that place... i picjed up a usb 2 pci card there for around $10... so i'm sure firewire wont be that pricey
