what's up ya'll? i love this place. i think i've learned everything i know off you guys and i really appreciate what you do.

i just recently, with this forum's help, figured out how to hook up my digi002rack, motif es and mpc1000 together to work flawlessly!

now the problem i'm having is that my first two assignable outputs are makin a whole lot of noise (i have these going into 1&2 on my digi002)

the other two outputs and the L&R are fine. i've switched the ins on the rack to make sure it wasn't the digi002. digi002 is fine. i also hooked it up through a DI box. that doens't help at all.

i called akai and they mentioned that the upgrade to 2.1 might help but if not then to have it serviced since i'm under warranty.

has anyone else had this problem? could a software update fix hiss and hum issues? or could it be my mpc being faulty?

either way thanks for your help!

try to keep the rec gain knob at zero all times since it itroduces noise even if the inputs are used as audio thru.

if you are referring to the rec gain knob on mpc then that is exactly what i do. it's always at zero.

well i did as the akai rep told me to do (update 2.1) but problem still persists. i think it's faulty. it's only a problem with the first two outputs. the other two and stereo L&R are good. bummer.
