Replacing drumpads for softer ones

I want to replace the pads on my 1k cause im getting lesser response out of them every day. Does anyone know if they can be replaced with softer ones like the 4K has cause i think the pads that come standard with it are kinda stiff.

I noticed that the 1000 pads are a little strange... sometimes they are two hard, sometimes un responsive. You need to adjust the sensitivity in "OTHER"... that might do something... maybe the new 0S will help.
