I just bought a used 1000 that had some minor cosmetic issues... but it was a great deal so i couldnt pass it up.

Just a quick question:

1. Does anyone know where i can find replacement pads for the bottom of the 1000? Right now im just sliding some folded up paper under the missing leg.

Thanks for the help

Just use some glue and a small piece of rubber

make them. its what I would do.

office stores will have adhesive blocks... you could tear off theones you have remaining and just plop new ones on there altoghether.

also, furniture stores should have those chair feet things that you could use the same way.

thanks for the quick replies!

one more question... has anyone ever tried fixing a loose numeric button? Any tips or suggestions for this?

i love fixing my mpc and helping people realize that the 1k isn't as cheap as its rep would suggest.

tell me more about this "looseness." be as specific as you can. you might need to pop your mpc open and take a look. buttons usually are really easy to fix, it's the sliders and pads that are time consuming.

you have to see if the plastin on the button poppep, if it snapped you have to buy new ones from VST. It cost like $3-4 a button, its the shipping that cost alot.
