Access HD without CF?

so - my CF drive has been broken for a while now, and cimple are being really slow at getting the part.

ive jacked a HD off my mate, and fitted it in with the HD10M kit, the mpc reads it fine but cant get my pc to find it via usb

it finds the CF drive, although i cant actually put a card in cause the pins are bent

how do i access the HD?

ok so u before u connect you need to make sure the mpc is loading from the hard drive (select hard drive (not cf) in the load screen). it only recognises one drive at a time
