Just got new mpc1000, already have bad pads

i see it this way the mpc 1k is somthin to get out of not complain over somthin stupid , jus dont worry bout it , and it wont happen. <<<<simple as that .

Just a quick question for you. How did you get the info that Akai has changed to a better adhesive. I'm not doubting you. I'm just wondering because I emailed Akai and didn't get a response.

i ordered 2 new pads from vst to have when gigging and just in case of emergency, basically. i haven't attatched either of them, but i modded one in advance using my technique.

here's what i found. compared to when i modded my older pads, the ones that came with the machine, the glue seemed stronger - more was used, too. however, remember that these were brand new pads, they hadn't been used at all.

however, something tells me that they're tougher and that they'd take longer to break. however, you have to solder the wire to them.

honestly, i think it's safer/easier to glue than to solder...at least you're not using heat with glue...
