without having to delete all seq then delete all tracks and all programs and then purge the samples?

and without having to turn the mpc off and on again obviously...

thanks!

if your thinking what im thinking, or used to be thinking, if u dont want al that shit loaded when u start it up, rename the "autoload" folder and it wont load anything when u start up the machine. if your not asking that, than sorry

oh, ur probably not asking that at all...

but id like to know if theres a way to do that as well.. i usualy just turn it on/off... the biggest piss off is that when u want to stop loading stuff via USB is u gotta unplug the cable every gawd darn time

yeah no i've got the autoload stuff worked out, but it's a pain when you want to start a new track from sratch to have to turn off your machine to wipe out the entire memory...

often i a session i find myself wanting to erase every thing and start something new, so far to do that i either have to turn it off or to erase everything one by one which is a biatch...

create an empty folder on your CF card with nothing in it other than an empty sequence and an empty programme.
everytime you want to clear your memory just load that folder and select the CLEAR option on load...

you're welcome.
to be more specific: make sure that you have saved your empty set as an ALL seq and songs file, otherwise the MPC will erase all samples and programmes, but not all sequences on load

Yeah, that's what I do... You can even go in and set all you parameters, like note on/one shot, pad levels, etx, default track names, and anything else you don't want to have to change every time you start a new song. It's like setting your own defaults.

And if you name the folder you put it in "AUTOLOAD", it will load up every time you turn on the MPC, so if you are planning on starting a new song, all you have to do is power up and you are ready to go.
