arrgghhh..... frozen and distorted screen

man, iused to love this box, but shit just seems to be getting worse.

worked up a new hi hat program with levels, tuning, everything on 3 pad banks... go to save it to an existing folder and the screen just gets jumbled. no letters, no numbers, just black dots and spaces across the whole thing. completely illegible, just random shit.

wow.... this thing has problems. i mean, if akai can't get the shit to work right.... why bother selling it......???????

lots of bugs on my 1k lately

-4th bar of sequences goes mute again & again (5 times in a month).
-a strange file (unix)appeared instead of a new program which i finally lost.
-"end of file" made me lost a sequence...

In all honesty!!!

I have seen people use there MPC's like the tool is a peace of trash!! Beatin the pads like punching bags and pressing option buttons like the thing is made out of steel!! Call me meticulous but I treat the Blue Box like it's my damn girlfriend! Be good to her and she will be good to you! lol.....But on the real people really do mishandle the hardware and are baffled when it starts to act up!!

your're bitching to the wrong guy.............. yea, and i've had mine for a year with no problems. and i treat it with the utmost care. but in the past week or so, i've run into 2 bugs that are a real drag.

btw.... i don't have the hard drive installed. just using the flash interface.

i was wondering if the hard drive would help, but the i saw soyo's post about his drive buggin out and had second thoughts.

turning it off, and then back on remedied the problem i imagine?

it sucks, but 2000's were notorious for freezing back in the day too.
no crazy jumbled dots and all that craziness, but yeah it still happens.

i handle my mpc like a girl, and on the way of creation i love this machine. i just had this bugs........bad luck?might be...........
