I been trying to record a sequence ie a drum pattern.

I will lay out my high hats and they record fine! As soon as lay another drum over it the high hats cut out and come back in when the other drum has finished its part of the sequence. Basically the drums are not playing collectively, they cut in and out!!

Has anyone experienced this and know how I can remedy this issue??

The solution which has been working so far was that I had to make seperate programs for every element of my beat!

For Instance:

Program 1= Drums

Program 2= Sample chops

etc......

My innitial thinking was that I could use 1 program but that program could have:

Bank A= Drums

Bank B= Sample chops

Bank C= whatever...

Bank D= whatever....

etc.... in this 1 program! When I do it this way I get the recording issue where is just cuts out what was previously recorded at that particular point in the bar and replaces it with the new addition to the sequence. The sounds don't play in unison.

I hope this makes sense because I personally think it's stupid to have to have different programs all the time for each element of your beat. Kind of annoying when you have 4 banks!!

go to program/param

in the upper right make sure your pgm is set to poly

i'm pretty sure this would have worked too

this will be the quickest and easiest process.

Now when you say separate programs do you mean PROGRAMS or TRACKS. Because if you are recording all the drums to one track and some of the elements are set to the same Mute Group (Program > Params) then this could also be creating the problem..
