hi everyone,
14 pages to scan to see what harddrives work in mpc1k is so time consuming. so I copy&pasted them to one list. some older drive's will also work.
first you'll need the hard drive adapter hdm-10 from akai.
The basic requirements are 44-pin eide socket, 2,5" drive. these brands & models have been successfully installed according to this user forum.

Good work compiling, Jocks.

Sparq should add this list in the first post of the "MPC1000 Hard Drive Recommendations" to keep it from getting bumped of the first page.

There's nothing stopping you from adding it to that thread :?

14 pages huh, why in a rush? Taking your time to find out what works
is a good method. Especially when dealing with hundreds and thousands of loot coming outta ya pockets.

First post of the thread = less firsttimers with short attention span flooding the forum with questions starting "I tried to read the HDD sticky, but...".

I know but there's no way for to "add" this list as the first post of that thread.

Short attention span or not, if they want it bad enough they will get the info. Thanks to Jocks for compiling it. Everyone can't be pleased at the same time.

Only thing I can think of right now is if Jocks adds it to the end of the thread. In his signature, post a link, to his hdd list post that will take people directly to it.

I don´t want to get into a long discusion here, but isn´t it possible for Sparq, the first poster of that thread to make an edit of his post and add this?
That is what I proposed in my post.

OOOOOHHHH, I get it now, you didn't say that before. I thought you meant place Jocks post up second after Sparq's. That's a good Idea though. I can do that. I'll also pm Sparq and let him know that I did it.

How's that? Cool enough?
