Can I order the 2.10 manual from akai? I hate reading on my pc. I was going to just get it printed at kinkos, but for that price I'd rather get the official. :)

i got mine printed at kinkos, 15 dollors, both pages front and back are printed and its binded with that plastic swirly stuff. Its better in my opinion, my old manual i lost, but i never used it anyways.

Wow. They only charged you $15? Maybe I need to go to another kinkos or maybe I'm asking for the wrong thing.

I just used the Kinko's online printing order tool, and if you make sure to choose black and white printing, and double-sided, then the price drops from something like $120 to around $15.

Hope that helps ...

You could save the PDF file of the manual and put it on a USB storage device and, if you can't do it at your College/work etc., get someone to print it off for you. You must know someone who works in an office or is at College.

Any College/University should have a Reprogrographics Department that could bind it. The college I work at does this service for staff and students for free.

The good thing about printing it from the PDF version is that it doesn't contain the Japanese version that doubled the weight and size of the UK manual.

Question:

Does 2.10 save the effects settings when you save the program? I'm damn tired of having to set up the effects everytime I load an old project.

Also, does 2.10 allow me to set up more than 2 effects at one time?

If you want to save your effects settings. use the SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY function. That will save your sounds, programs, songs, effects settings, etc. It will create a project file that when re-loaded, will load everything back up.

I recommend saving each song to it's own directory if you are not already doing so.

No, 2.10 still only allows for 2 fx, well I guess 3 if you include the master effects.

what does a typical folder set-up on the CF look like.

i've got mine organized carefully but apparently there is something i'm missing.

Do you only keep one project open at a time? maybe that is my problem.
