Recording Main Out..

First of all, I love my MP, and don't get me wrong, but i'm the kind of guy who like to use alot of FX, and I feel pretty limited down with only 2 Effect processors on the MPC1000. So here goes my problem.

Say that I've just Eq'ed my snaredrum just the way i like it, and i wanna use another effect on some other sample. The obvious idea would be to record the snare from Main out, to free up an effect-processor right? I can figure that out, but what i don't understand is: why does my newly recorded sample turn out to be at a lower volume than the previous?? (It also sounds a bit "thinner" ). I've tried evereything (i think), turning the recording threshold up and down, deactivating the master effects, turning the main sample up at max volume... What i want to know is: Is there anything to do to prevent this from happening!?!

I appreciate any kind of suggestions.

Turn Master Level to 0 DB

Try re-sampling again.

thats cool tip but also you can normalize the sounds after you recorded them.
works on some samples.

It worked, but you have to live with a little extra noise on the sample, i guess it's because it's analog, right?... But thanx again!

Why not just resample internally? MODE->Record, set source to main outs

i love that lil noise..its the 1000 still acting all raw. Just like the sp back in the day.
