please clear something up for me

What's up everyone? I am using a mpc 1000, fantom xa, and a mackie oynx 1220 mixer. I am running my mpc as master. My question is:
Since the mpc is recording the midi note's played on the fantom, so therefor nothing is recorded on the fantom sequencer to sample and convert to aiff or wave to load into the mpc, how do I get everything together so I can put on a cd? I am missing somethig I just dont understand how to do it. I mean I can sit there and record in both but have to press record on both, play on both and worry about getting it in perfect timing. Could someone please clear up what I am missing?

If you midi correctly there is no need to babysit the tempo.
If you midi correctly there is no to hit record on both.

If MPC was REALLY master then it would record ALL midi notes.
If MPC was REALLY master then the fantom tempoe would be slaved
to MPC.

All gear audio outputs should go through the mackie.

Page 4, 1k manual, shows the proper physical midi connections.

"Q. How do I connect my keyboard/synth to the MPC1000 and how do I control the sounds of my keyboard?
A. Connect the MIDI Out of the keyboard to the MIDI In 1 of the MPC1000 and the MIDI Out A of the MPC1000 to the MIDI In of your keyboard.
Set your keyboard to LOCAL OFF.

On the MPC1000, Mode: MIDI/SYNC, MIDI tab, set "Active Track Receive Channel" to ALL and "Soft Thru" to AS TRACK. After that, your keyboard will play the same sounds as the pads, i.e. whatever is set on the selected Track. The MIDI field of the selected sequence Track, on the Main page, controls where you direct the MIDI output from that Track. You can use this in combination with the Program field, so one Track can control both the MPC1000 sampler and/or an external synth. To automatically select sounds on your synth, you can embed Program Changes in a sequence by recording them or using the Step Edit Insert command.

Of course, this only covers the MIDI data, not audio. To hear both the sound from the MPC1000 sampler and from your keyboard, the audio outputs of both units should be connected to a mixing board."(akaipro)

Lamp, I think he wants to internally resample the finished track within the MPC 1000 and understands that the MIDI won´t create any sound. The recording in perfect timing seems to be internally resample in both MPC and Fantom at the same time, thats his worries about sync issues.

Bignate, If I´ve understood what you want to do right I say that is not the way to. Get a computer and a good audio interface and record them via the Mackie on to the computer, or record them track by track MIDI slaved fromyour software seq.
Check with people owning a Fantom, are there multitrack possibilities on that one? In that case you could hook that up to the mixer.

that's pretty much what I was talking about. I already have everything connected right I was basicly asking how to get the sounds from the fantom and the sounds from the mpc together to make a full track so I can put on cd. So if I get an audio interface and record to a computer, then the synth's I play on the fantom and the drum's from the mpc will be together and sound like it does when I play them both through the mixer or will it still be just midi note's with no audio?

I'll try again, sorry for any confusion. Fantom and mpc audio outs both go to audio interface into computer. You can record this audio in a software program.

I have my triton and mpc audio going into my digi001 (same as what I'm describing to you) and they breakout up to 8 channles into Vegas software DAW (multitracker).

I can also use a wave editor to record but that would just be 2 channels (I use sound forge).

This method will ONLY record audio into the computer.
