I try to delete a program and why

does it not delete?I load the program and then i go to MODE-PROGRAM and press WINDOW-DELETE and i go back to MODE-LOAD and the program is still there.I need to free up space to put more samples in.

u r deleting it form the ram, not the disk. go mode, save, window, select your file and press delete.

hey i just tried that and i wasnt given the option to press window.in other words it didnt light up.i even loaded the programs and nothing...

hey i just tried that and i wasnt given the option to press window.in other words it didnt light up.i even loaded the programs and nothing...

if you loaded pgms you went to load again insted of save. press save, then select the save to field, window and then select file and press delete.

The RAM is where needs to be deleting from. He wants to free up more space to load samples.

What you need to do is go to Mode-Program, select the program, delete it.

The tricky thing is, even though you deleted the program, the samples that were assigned to that PGM will still remain in your RAM. You could either Purge and that would get rid of all the samples that are not associated with any PGM's or you could manually delete each sample that was associated with the PGM.

Yeah, I re-read. Whats confusing me is, why are you loading the PGM just so you can delete it, why not just delete it from jump? Thats what gave me the impression that you wanted to free up RAM space, because you loaded the PGM into the RAM itself.

purge?im going to try that.but i cant purge without having a program loaded alreAdy to access it via MODE-PROGRAM.because when i dont load the program,i dont have the option to turn the wheel to find the program i wish to select in PROGRAM mode which is why i said i load the programs first.

But all you are trying to do is delete the PGM, so why not just delete it from the load screen?

not the load screen, the save screen.

in the Load screen AND save screen i am not given the option to press WINDOW.
And in the save screen,the only way to get the program i wish to delete in the save screen is if i load the program first THEN go to the save screen to be able to highlight the program name

you are not following instructions. i'm gonna explain it one more time and if you can't get you'll have to rtfm. its real easy man. mode, save, select the to field, press window, select the file, press delete. thats as simple as it gets. if you can't follow that, then rtfm won't even help you out.
