EBook is good

I made my own thread for this since the other one is filled with weirdo posts.
The Ebook is good! I've had my MPC1K since they first shipped and I was able to pick up many new ideas. I had been pretty set in my ways using it.
Also before I got the ebook I considered myself an advanced user: wrong.

This book is a no brainer for noobs. The difference from the manual is that the author gives examples and actual files to use.
If you are a newbie user: buy it, it will save you a lot of time.
If you are an advanced user? Maybe it will show you that you are not one after all.

Oh and I'm pretty sure buying the ebook supports this website (Does it?)

I don't get paid starting the most popular threads. I only talk about what I know and what most user's in here might want to express, So starting a simliar thread might get moved or deleted. Sometimes you just have to ignore nonsense posts in threads.

One thing i do need to say that should hav been addressed before the book was released. Some of the stuff in there has been straight copied from the 2000XL book and it's not releveant at all.

It's not a major deal but it's gonna confuse people, for example, when they read on page 57 (signal to noise ratio box):

To help decrease the background noise, you should use high quality audio cables - if
you have the 8 output expansion board, then you also have the option to record
digitally

People might be wondering where they can buy this 8 out board! There was another example near the start too.

This highlights the beauty of the book being in digital format - I can just upload the amended version for free download to existing owners (unlike a paper book)

im thinking about purchasing the ebook but does it come with the math formulas for example. how to detect tempo using math instead of tap tempo, how to time stretch with math instead of using some automated program that does all calculations for u. i wanna learn the manual approach does this book have all that info?

get the book! man,it helps you out alot. here's a link to using a formula w/ timestretching, you still manually have to dial in on the MPC. hopefully I can come up with a better way of using the timestretch to show guys how to figure out an easyway of working .

I've updated the two instances of referencing the 8 outs - the new version has been uploaded and can be downloaded from within your online filebank

Just bought the E-book and can't wait to go through all of it.

i just bought the ebook, and so far so good! i thought i was fairly knowledgable on the mpc, but i have learned several time saving tricks already, and i have barely scratched the surface of this book. not only do you get a book, but there are lots of samples and programs that come with it so that you can actually do the examples while reading the book...great for us folk that learn by the "hands on" approach.
i recommend it for anyone who wants to take their mpc to the next level.

why not a DVD?
Personally, I find it much easier to learn by watching someone explain, as they teach the lessons. What are the chances of a DVD?
