No offence, man, but this post has made me laugh. You think that there may be a problem with your power supply and admit that you don't know how to save properly...and the MPC2500 is deemed to be the logical answer to these problems...!?

With regard to your power problems, have you been able to test another power cable in place of the original? Have you followed the previous instructions - downloading fresh OS copy and re-installing? The new Beta OS is definitely worth a look if you've not tried it yet. See 1K board for thread and link to download.

I wouldnt recommend he get a 2500, its just gonna ruin to if he leaves it on forever.. Then he will be out $3,000.00 instead of $1,000.00 now for the MPC1000.. He should have asked for help with his saving problem instead of just leaving it on....(poor mpc)...

ok, maybe weeks would be an overstatement. I think I left it on for 4-5 days constantly. I do know how to save, but when I upgraded to the new os, it stopped saving correctly. The reason that I think its the power supply is because of the way that the screen flutters like its loosing power.

Hey man, did you tryi it in another room? It could be that the electircal circuit you are plugged into is acting funny. Try it in another outlet in another room that on another circuit and see if the same thing happens. Is there any other elctronic equipment in your house that is acting funny?

First do you even have Brains to know that you don't leave your equipment on for days period. getting a 2500 is not going to solve your problem not knowing how to save projects. If you have to get this 1k repaired then let's find out how to save. Or fix why your O.S is not functioning . Try downloading it again, take the 1k to another room just to make sure it's not the receptical. Then Reset the 1k  maaaan!

because the piece of mukk wouldn't save any of my projects right. I tried saving project files, because I do a lot of tracks in a 2-4 day period but I always saved wrong. So I would just leave it on so I would loose all of my samples and stuff.

appreciate and take care of your stuff. If it's mukk, then give it to someone who can use it. 8)
