Is it possible to apply settings to whole program

Hi im new to the forum had my mpc about 2 weeks and love it . I was wondering if it is possible to set filter setting per whole program .

I have chopped up a sample and wanna have same filter settings for each part i put into a program but i an aonly seem to do this by setting the filter for each sample on each pad seperately .

Also apart form recording a sample from the output and making it turn mono is their a way to delete one side of the stereo track to make a mono sample .

I'm almost sure you have to filter each pad one at a time. If you want a mono sample you can choose mono L or Mono R, in the record screen go to mode and turn the data wheel left.

It's really annoying having to go through every pad setting the same settings for the filter etc. Especially with this new slice to new program feature

I already have samples on my hardrive in the mpc 1000 but they are stereo . One of them is arum break which is clearer in left channel so i wanna covert stereo to Mono from left channel . The only way i can see of doing this is by resampling from the output , is this right?

i think this is possible with os 3 beta 16. 'window' + pad 7 (i guess).

yea that would work

Actually it is (Mode+Pad11) in os 3.0. This screen lets you set either whole program or individual settings very quickly. Settings included in this screen are:

Tune, Play Mode, Overlap, Filter1, Res1, Filter2, Res2, Level, Pan, Output(12, 34, St, 1, 2, 3, 4), Fx and Fx Send Level.

Actually thats one of my issues with the new os.. or Bug i gess.
you cant change whole program for OUTPUT(1,2,3,4)

Try it. you only get 1/2 3/4 ST

I remember this bug, but since beta 16 it has been fixed. I just re-tested it to be sure.

In the Mixer/output screen I routed Track 1 to (1@2), Track 2 to (3@4), Track 3 to (ST), Track 4 to (1), Track 5 to (2), Track 6 to (3), and track 7 to (4).

I then went to Mode+Pad11, scrolled to the output column and all of the output assignments were correctly listed.

you can copy pad settings to another pad in 2.1

just press window on the pad number (on the left in program) and choose which pad you want to copy to where

Go to Slice in Edit mode and either chop it up into the number pieces you want. Or if you want to keep the whole, slice it into two pieces, making the second one as short as possible.
After you´ve converted them to seperate slices they´ll be mono, according to the manual the slice function only uses the left channel in the converted samples so they should sound as you´d like them to.

yes but try to assign a whole program at once to output 1 ...not in the mixer page, in the Mode Pad a11 page.. using the 'WHOLE' tab

let me know if i gotta wierd thing goin on here.
