midi syncing question

i just came up on a m audio midi interface, i'm trying too sync it with adobe audition so i can record the track on there. what is my first step i shoul do?

It seems that 2.0 and earlier version (Cool Edit) does not have Midi Clock for syncing with MPC1000/on the other hand, if you have 2000,3000,4000,or 2500 you can use the midi time code to sync with AA.

so waht am i suppose too do too transfer a song too the computer?

You don't need midi to transfer a song to your computer.

I have rarely used midi to record my songs from triton/mpc into vegas daw.

midi in the way you were told is used for syncing of transport controls.

ya know, start stop controls.

mpc to audio interface into pc is all you need. you can do the midi sync thing if you want also but it's just confusing for you if you don't know what you are doing.

this sucks, i have no idea what you are saying lapdog. thanks for your help though. I bought a m audio midi interface uno. so it's midi to usb. someone told me too use that too record out the mpc too my laptop. is that true?

you can only record midi data from MPC to your PC and sync with that midi interface. What you need is audio interface to track you beats to your computer.
