Wurd man...i have the same problem once i tried to sync up to nuendo...my problem was not the interface but my copy of nuendo..make sure you have a legit copy, or a pretty decent one...i have to re format my ish before i can run anything out..

my suggestion is that midi INPUT is being garbled by your computer hardware/software or the midi interface. there are a lot of places in that chain to go wrong other than the mpc. as naVi says, it can also be your software, rather than the mpc.

if logic is the master to the mpc you are using the computers midi OUTPUT which may involve a totally different chain of hardware/software processing so that doesnt prove much.

there are reliable ways of checking the steadiness of a midi clock signal coming from the mpc-- you could look at it on an oscilloscope for example.

bpm jumping in logic is common from my experiences. I've seen it do it from logic 5.51 on a pc to 6.0 on a mac. generally the jumps are small and its probably just a graphical issue.

Nuendo doesn't slave to the MPC. Logic is 9600PPQN so I don't really see how Logic is a problem. Beat clock is just not as good as MTC. I would STILL use beatclock even if the 1000 had MTC because it's just following a loop. I'm not doing linear arragements on the 1000 anyway. Bang the loops/parts out then export them to SMF into your DAW if it's a problem.
