Hello, Im a long time reader first time writer... I just recieved my MPC1k and noticed that everytime I hit Full Level on, a faint red light starts to glow on the Record button, samething happens with Play button and Undo Seq button. Should it be like that or have I just recieved a monday copy?

I've not noticed that on mine, but I haven't looked all that closely, I suppose. My best guess is that it's just the light from the full-level button glowing through the LED plastic casing on the other buttons. I don't think it's an electrical problem, if that's what you're concerned about.

Edit: Of course, I haven't seen your MPC, and am guessing, so if you get electrocuted when pressing record and start, don't blame me

I will try to remember to take a look at whether there's any bleedthrough of light on mine when I get home.

Yea that's what I had in mind since I replaced the bundled cable that didn't fit my socket but I made sure I met all the electrical requirements and I guess it'd have blown up already... Amazing box anyhow

It is pretty nifty, isn't it?

The power supply is dual voltage, and I've run mine in North America and Europe without any issues - I guess when you said the power cord didn't fit your sockets, it was a matter of geography.

If you are in the US, and switched to a two-prong plug from the bundled three prong version, I think I would recommend plugging into an earthed socket if you have one available. Can't hurt, and if Something Bad does happen, you'll be glad that the case is properly earthed.
