Help with pad note playback

Hey...i just made a new kit with bluebox and all of my pads have the sounds they should have, except when I record them I keep getting weird bell noises instead of my snares, kicks, etc. Any help would be great. Thanx

u know these weird sounds u hear are from audio files that are at a different bit depth as well as a different sample rate. u need to convert ur audio files to what the mpc1000 supports witch is 44100 sample rate for timing reasons. and the bit depth to 16 bit linear. hope this helps but if u want u can also resample what u want in the mpc1000 using the audio ins on ur mpc just sample ur sounds into the mpc1000 to convert ur audio granted ull have to resplice ur stuff but its either that ur convert ur audio through ur wave editor u choose

Normally, the MPC just refuses to load any .wav file it doesn't like the look of.

Can you describe you set-up, and what you mean by record? That might help us understand where the problem could lie.
