Help me please

Im in the process of purchasing an mpc....probably the 1000 model. My questions are as follows...(keep in mind im really new to this)

I want to track my beats on a DAW on my computer im looking into the Lexicon Lambada with cubase software....

Is that a good choice(keep in mind my low budget)?

If not wat else should i look into?

How do i hook it all up and go about tracking>
