Tracking question

im trying to track my beats from my mpc into cubase sx3 one track at a time....I have my midin in going to midi out and vice versa into my soundcard....isetup the midi sync in my mpc and in cubase......this is the problem....i press the record button on cubase and it records the midi notes but not the actual audio....how do i get it to record the audio? Do i need to hook up different stuff or what.... thanks for any help

U need to have cables going from your STEREO OUTS on your MPC to the IN on the soundcard u are using. Make sure Cubase recognizes that input and u should be good to go.
